Break80 Profiles: PXG Founder Bob Parsons
Bob tells amazing stories from his life and starting PXG about a decade ago.
Last week we were able to sit down with Bob Parsons as he was in Minneapolis to talk at a veteran’s event and to promote his new book “Fire in the Hole.” Bob has lived a wild and successful life and he was very open about it.
He will dive into his childhood in Baltimore, which included some crazy discipline stories from Catholic school and how joining the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War changed his life and set him up for success moving forward.
Bob and his wife are very involved with veterans and helping them with PTSD. He dives into his own battles with PTSD and how he went on a retreat and found psychedelics to be incredibly helpful in treating PTSD. He even goes into a story about golfing in Hawaii after being on these psychedelics, which is can’t miss.
A successful businessman in technology, Dr. Parsons has created multiple businesses that got him to where he is today, with a net worth of over $3 billion dollars. While working, he like many of us, became addicted to golf. This addiction eventually led to Bob starting Parsons Xtreme Golf or more commonly known as PXG. He will tell the story of how it started and how PXG does things differently.
All of this is in the podcast, and we promise you that you will want to listen until the end when Bob tells a wild story from his youth that you won’t believe he was willing to tell!
